Hey!
I have a very strange behavior on Webclient with external calls (mobile phone in this example)
In the picture you see user DM (Dirk Möller) who is displayed with his initials DM in the circle AND with his full name.
user MN is also known and You see his initials in the circle too. But the whole name is not displayed.

??? Uhhh ??? What's wrong?
I am using the most recent version of 3cx

Also while signaling the name is neither displayed on the deskphone nor on the client app.

I can see no rule...

If I understand correctly, on some calls the CID is seen and shows up in the 3CX apps, but in others it does not. Correct?

If so, you will likely need to do some captures to try and identify the issue. Given that 3CX is able to see some, it implies that it is working if and when the various calls coming to the system meet the criteria by which CID is to be detected and if and when the delivering carrier is sending CID.

no. The callers are identified correctly by 3CX as You can see in the purple circles:

The initials MN indicate that the caller is me: Marius Narkus
DM indicates that the caller is Dirk Möller

We both are users (extensions) in 3CX and do both have mobile number entered.

This looks like a bug to me...

Is the contact a personal or a system wide contact? Also do you have a first name last name configured in the contact or is the under company name etc?

Oh, I just noticed:

contact MN is an extension:

contact DM is a system wide contact:

I believe i understand the issue
You are calling from a number that is set as mobile number of an extension that belongs to the system but it is not added as a contact and not directly from an extension.
Let me try to replicate the issue and i will get back to you with an update.

Hey Yiannis,

I have discovered that there was someting wrong with my contacts. Those which have been synced by ODBC were not okay. I tried to edit one manually and it gave an error message.

Then I removed all those contacts. After a resync it worked again.

*solved*
