Hi all

In v18 we were able to use MakeCall to dial a paging group from an IVR/CFD. We did this to play an audio file to multiple extensions.
Here is the CFD Flow:

In v20 this does not work anymore. Does anybody know of a way to play an audio file to multiple extensions simultaneously?

If this doesn't work, it's probably because the entity that you're specifying as origin is not allowed to start calls with Make Call. An alternative would be creating a dummy extension, start the call from this extension, and configure it to forward the call to the CFD app or Digital Receptionist that plays the prompt.

Yeah, this would work, but then it's still only on one extension. We need the audio played to multiple extensions at the same time.
Or did I understand something wrong in your reply?

I think you misunderstood my reply. Your Make Call component in the CFD app is starting the call between the paging group and the second CFD app. What I think is that this call is failing. And this failure could be related to the endpoint specified as origin, not being able to be used like this (I can't confirm this, but it's a possibility, because there are restrictions related to this in v20). Then, as a regular Extension can be used to start a call, you could start the call from this extension, and then forward the call using forwarding rules to the real endpoint that you want to handle this.

Ok I think we've found a bug. We tried to replicate the issue on another install and it suddenly worked again.
The problem is with the dialcode of paging and/or other related things. We had dialcode *55 for paging, this did not work. I changed to dialcode *65 and with this it's working. From there I checked other number (*11, *21, *31, *41 and so on) and realized, that with some dialcodes it's ok and with others it's simply not working. For some codes it was working only every second call, and it seems with *65 and onwards it's no problem...

Thanks for your input anyways @edossantos_sipcaller

Edit: It seems the problem lays in concurrent dialcodes, which the GUI does not check in v20.... because we have *5 to supress the number and *1 to park calls and so on...
