Calls dropping on Yealink phones but not on 3CX app .. both using SBC

I'm having an issue where calls are dropping several times a day on Yealink phones using an SBC, but not on the 3CX app which also use the tunnel to connect .. originally I had the SBC as a Raspberry Pi but they were getting a ton of static so I switched it to Debian running SBC on their Hyper-V host .. which fixed the call quality issue but now calls are dropping randomly. I have the same setup on 10+ clients with no issues, but the only difference I can tell is that most of my clients use either the Windows or a Raspberry Pi SBC .. this is the first time I have a Debian SBC. Any suggestions?

It's for installing 3CX but applies to the SBC as well.

I switched over to a Windows virtual machine and no issues now .. I used the Debian ISO from 3cx to build the machine, I'll try the suggestions when I get a chance.

I checked the article and I'm already using best practices it looks like .. wondering what could be the cause of the dropped calls when using Debian on Hyper-V 2012r2, any thoughts?

I'm guessing the time synchronization part. People seem to miss that a lot for Debian on HyperV
