Hello,

All calls being placed, regardless of the amount of digits, are not going through. To the user, it'll say "Call could not be established, please contact your administrator" and in my event log it returns the 500 Dialed Number Improper Format error. However, I believe my outbound rules are set up correctly. Here they are:

Outbound Rule NameCall from extension(s)PrefixLengthExtension GroupRoute 1Route 2Route 3Route 4Route 5

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

In your event log is the 500 being returned from Voxtelesys? If so, I suggest opening a ticket with them

Here's the official event:

Call or Registration to +1XXXXXXXXXX@(Ln.10000@Voxtelesys) has failed. XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX replied: 500 Dialed Number Improper format; from IP:XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:5060

Would that be on Voxtelesys' end?

Is XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX your IP?

It is not my public nor private

Well sounds like a Voxtelesys IP to me then.

According to this...

https://www.3cx.com/docs/voxtelesys-us-sip-trunk/

Numbers should be in a 10 digit format. I assume for national numbers.

You might want to check with your provider and confirm. Unlike PSTN providers, most VoIP providers tend to be very restrictive, with the number formats they will accept.

I agree 100%, first check the guide we have that leejor mentioned to make sure everything is setup correctly.
If so, and if XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX IP is indeed that of Voxtelesys (which I am guessing it is if you haven't changed the registrar of your trunk), then you should call them to tell you what is going on.

Hi everyone,

thank you for all of your replies. I did fix it, it just seemed like calls weren't working last night but now they are working! Thank you all.
