Hi;

I am mainly using PRI but I have a land line (analog) too. In my current phone system, if PRI line down or the PRI gateway not function, my phone system will route the outbound call through the land line as backup in the event of emergency.

In 3CX, can I do the same setup? In the event of PRI link or the PRI gateway down, route the outbound call through the analog telephone line, if it does support, what analog gateway should be used for 3CX?

I cannot locate the similar knowledge in 3CX manual.

thanks!

Thank you!

Should I use the FXS or FXO type gateway for the analog link?

If you are just wanting a single line, and you can find one (as they have been discontinued for a while), a Cisco/linksys SPA-3102 will do the job (it has both an FXS and FXO port). Although they are not officially supported by 3CX, and will require manual provisioning, it will do the job and II can help you set it up if needed.

One more question, because the PRI link and the analog PSTN are provided by two different telephone company, in this case; I have two difference phone numbers, one for PRI which is the main, and another one is for analog. In this scenario, the 3CX support this setup?

3CX will support as many trunks (trunk groups), or numbers, as you want. Although I suppose that there is some sort of limit. You decide how you want outgoing and and incoming calls to route.
