On the PI check your dns settings, change to google 8.8.8.8

Test to see if the PI can resolve your 3cx fqdn and it has the correct ip address

Yes, I checked, it's correct

This indicates that the SBC most likely:

1. cannot reach the PBX (internet connection or misconfig)

2. cannot resolve the url to your server IP

Possible solutions:

  • You can try reinstalling the Pi SBC from scratch https://www.3cx.com/docs/installing-pbx-raspberry-pi/
  • You can check to see whether the Pi actually has internet access
  • If the PBX only recently came up it may take a few minutes for the DNS to resolve. This should no longer be a problem now

Hi John,
1/ My Internet good working
2/ I set DNS name server 8.8.8.8 and nslookup my URL, it's resolved correct IP.
We have 1 server 3CX test using standard license and I registered SBC with server test, it success. But when I register SBC with main server 3CX using Pro license, it not success.

If you registered the same SBC on the test server, then we can assume for now that the SBC is ok.

  1. Where is the Pro server located? (Local / Cloud)
  2. Where is the SBC located (same local network as the PBX or remote network?)
  3. On your Pro server, is tunnel port (5090 by default) still open over your firewall?
