Solved Can v15.5 backup be restored on v16

While creating the new install(Server 3) we use the backup from Server 1(v15.5) and complete the installation.
Once installation is complete, we take a backup of Server 3(v16).
Can this backup be used with the Server 2, as they are both v16?

So I believe this method can be used to bring the v16 debian to the same configuration as that of production(v15.5) eventhough we forgot to use backup at the time of install

The answer is no - let me clarify this point again - the backup can only be restored DURING the setup. You cannot have a situation where the server is already running a standard license and then you restore a backup on it with a Pro license from another machine. So:

New Instance = you can restore any backup you want, during setup time

Existing Instance = you can only restore backups it made of itself, not backups from other machines
