Can we alter configuration while a call is on progress?

Hello all,
We are trying to create an outbound dialer with the 3CX which can get the numbers from a text file and call.

Now, the question is that what if we want to add or remove numbers to the call list in the text file while there are some calls in progress - will it affect the ongoing calls or something else?
Is there some way that we can switch controls of the call timing and call flow without disturbing the ongoing calls?

If a program access a file, to get a number (or anything), and you alter that file (modify, then save), then if may affect a user if it is accessed at the exact time the new file is saved (replaced).

You would be better off using a database if you need to change numbers while the program is running.
