Solved Cannot Change Username on Management Console

Good day,

In below thread, guidance is given on where to change username / password.

However when I update the username and click "OK", it does not save. It just stays administrator, and I would like to change it.

Kindly advise whether it is possible to change the username at all and how to go about it.

Hi Marinda,

Do you wish to change the name of an extension, or the the name of the global administrator account (which is not an extension) ?

Global administrator please.

You also need to fill in all the password fields (not just the username), otherwise it will not let you change the name.

You will know that the change has been saved, because you will be immediately logged out and forced to log back in with the new credentials.
