Hello,

I just set up my 3cx and FQDN connection was working normally from external networks for a bit after I tried everything to open ports 5001, 5060, 5090, 5080, 80, 443, on my router. Now it's an hour later and for some reason I can't connect from 4G through my iPhone or 5G and I can connect to the localip:5001 normally as I used to.

What could be causing so many problems with the company's FQDN:5001? I'm typing https://fqdn:5001 to connect - and it is not working. This is the third or fourth installation I'm doing and it just seems inaccessible at this point even though an hour ago I somehow connected.

Our installation is using dynamic IP, runs on Debian OS, on a VM.

Edit: 10 minutes later and it's now working again. I do not know what to make of this.

Make sure your wan is set to dynamic under settings - networks. This will update your fqdn if the wan IP address changes

If you have standard or pro license, it can take 6 hours for the fqdn to be updated, and any change need to replicate across the global internet dns servers

This could be the reason why you could not access it

If it does happen again for some reason and you want to confirm what @Saqqara said, you can try both:

https:// <FQDN>:5001

and

https://<Public_IP>:5001

If only the one with the IP connects then it almost definitely a DNS related issue.

Will be marking this as solved for now but do let us know should anything else come up.
