I need the ability to conference in callers from my phone. 2 way calling, not start a conference bridge.
I have the latest 3CX software and a Yealink T48G

I place the first call, then I hit the conference button. It places the first call on hold and I proceed to dial the number. When I try to connect I get an error Call Failed and Temporarily unavailable.

I've done some searching for the error but none of the results I've found seem to apply. I suspect an outbound rule from what I've read, but they've all referred to older versions of 3CX.

Help!

Can you make normal outbound calls using the same number ? , if not then you probably need to setup rules https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/sip-trunks/

Do you have PSTN or SIP lines ?. If Sip how many concurrent calls have you configured.

I have SIP. It was my bad, I had forgotten I reduced the number of channels on my SIP trunk. Looking at elastic trunks to save some money and avoid an unnecessary limit.

Glad to see the issue has been resolved and thank you sharing your solution
