Can't disable auto-update for some reason?

For quite a few updates now, I have had the "auto-update" box NOT checked, so I can control
when to update the 3CX server, however, it is not honoring the setting.
It keeps auto-updating itself within 24 hours of a new version update, and usually during the
middle of the day (which is horrible for a mid-size company).

Any suggestions on where else to look for disabling auto-updates?
My only guess is maybe Linux, behind the scenes, is still updating, even though the GUI has the option disabled?

Did you install from the 3CX ISO or PBX Express? If so it should be honoring that setting. But if you did a manual install and have some sort of linux package manager/update tool running that might explain the issue.

It started as the PBX Express install, from back with v15 and has been updated since via the GUI.
No manual install has been involved other than restoring settings from our original PBX in-house.

Hmm.. well that shouldn't be happening. I always do manual installs and I don't have that issue with auto-updates. I guess it's time to start checking for cron jobs to see if there something running. I don't know if GCP has an option to try and keep VM's up to date so you could check that as well

Hi,

I would have 2 ideas.

a) You use a remote management software which calls apt-get upgrade itself

b) In very old PBXexpress Google deployments (one of the first) we discovered that Google runs on each restart of the instance the setup script again causing updates.
