Hi,

I recently changed an active setup of 3CX from Local to Remote -> SBC system and upgraded from v15 to v16 at the same time. I factory resetted the phones and they appeared on the panel through SBC. All provisioned without a problem. (Tough I can't manually provision Vtech VSP600 phones, since custom template doesn't allow SBC selection on the provisioning page of the extension.)

Now the system is working; but I can't upgrade the firmwares for Yealink T19-P-E2 phones. Installed firmwares are 53.83.0.55 and the new firmware is 53.84.0.95. When I send upgrade command through the 3CX panel, the phone light blinks for a couple of times but does exactly nothing. No reboots, no upgrading message, nothing at all.

I also tried to manually upgrade from the phone interface, with the file I downloaded from Yealink's 3CX firmware web page (which is to be the exactly same version appears in 3CX console); but still to no avail. The reaction of the phone is the same. Light blinks for a couple of times and that's all.

By the way there is no firmware folder present in 3CX main server.

Hi @TurabG

The phone needs to be able to reach the PBX at its HTTPS port (usually 5001) to download the firmware, otherwise it will fail.

In your case however, a phone with firmware that is too old, may receive the file from the server but refuse to upgrade itself unless you bring it up to a higher firmware version manually. Please read our guide here for this matter: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/yealink-t1-series/

53.83.0.55 and the new firmware is 53.84.0.95.

That a bit of a jump, you would be best of finding an interim version first and jumping to this and then up.
Also ensure it is not an issue with the connection and perhaps try locally.

@JohnS_3CX it maybe worth noting that we have had several issues with the 0.55 version variants on upgrades on Yealink phones such as T40G, T46S, T48S both externally and from local upgrade - they simply wont upgrade with the versions available from 3CX or Yealink.com.

This has been tried for us with direct upload to the latest version and with interim 83 versions also.

The argument would obviously be that they should not have been left that long, or that they should of been done prior to upgrade to v16 (I think this maybe a factor) however I am making the point that this version has been tricky for us on multiple sites previously.

In fact there was also another version labeled like "53.83.188.5 LYDIS Yealink Firmware: ONLY FOR BENELUX CUSTOMERS", I tried that too and the result was the same. But as I see it has something to do with the guide @JohnS_3CX posted.

Thank you John. Manually upgrading to 53.84.0.35 first and then upgrading to 53.84.0.95 through the control panel worked.

Glad to help! You see the Lydis because you enabled Alternative Firmware from Settings >Phone / App Options > Firmware settings.

I recommend to disable this option so it will not show you irrelevant firmware.
