Hi,

I'm trying to make a Auto Dialer that pull phone numbers from CSV and TXT. I am following this guideline "https://www.3cx.com/docs/cfd-predictive-dialer/" but cannot deploy it to 3CX system because option of "call flow apps" is not available. Can you guys please guide how it can be done?

Hello @Hasan_,

Please note that 3CX Hosted instances don't have CFD support. In order to use CFD apps, you will need to move your instance to a self-hosted or on-premise installation.

Another option you have is trying SIP Caller, a cloud based outbound call dialer that seamlessly integrates with 3CX and works with Hosted by 3CX instances too. The only feature from SIP Caller that you will not be able to use in this environment is the "predictive dialer", i.e. adjust the calling pace to the number of agents available in the queue. But you can run "power dialer" campaigns without limits. Not sure what kind of campaigns you need in this case.... If you need to interact with your users automatically (play prompts, collect DTMF inputs), then a power dialer is a perfect fit. If you need to transfer the calls to a queue, then you will need the predictive dialer, otherwise you will be making more calls than what you can handle, or your agents will be free more time than what you would expect....

Also, you should note that a CFD app will only give you the ability to make a call, but you need to implement all the business logic behind that, for example working times, retry handling, etc. And with the CFD app you will have absolutely no report about what's going on with the dialer. On the other side, SIP Caller is a fully featured, ready to use solution, which will give you everything in a user friendly interface, including campaign management, reports, and much more.

Let me know if you want to learn more.

While I have not yet had an opportunity to try SIP Caller, I know Ernesto, and I know his code, and I have every expectation that this new dialer will be an excellent tool. The fact that it works with 3CX Hosted servers is a huge bonus.

If you are open to moving from 3CX Hosted to a provider that does permit customizations, you should also take a look at 3CX Power Dialer. Our tool has some of the predictive features you are needing. For example, we can throttle the number of simultaneous calls our dialer places based on agent availability, total calls active on the phone system, how many calls initiated by the dialer are on-going, and more. We also provide the ability to simultaneously send emails and SMS text messages.

As Ernesto will attest, building a full-featured dialer requires a lot of work. We have been enhancing our dialer for nearly 10 years and we still have a lot more work to do.
