Change Default 5060 Ports for Debian Hosted

Hi Guys

I need to change the default 5060 port on a new 3CX Install. Has anyone had any issues with it. Do we still need to keep 5060 open at firewall for VoIP Provider (Registration based) to work?

It's not magic. If you change the SIP port then that's the one 3CX will use thus the port you would need to open in the firewall assuming it is a registration-based provider.

VoIP Providers for SIP commonly require 5060 if un-encrypted or 5061 over TCP if encrypted (TLS).
If registration based then it maybe specific.

They should of send you this information (SIP, audio ports etc). Whether they will still be able to work with the port change I would confirm with them just in case.

No problem at all. No need to open port 5060.
1. During install select the SIP port (e.g. 5566), you can't change it afterwards.
2. After installation change in iptables port 5060 in to 5566.
3. In router open / port forward 5566, 5090, etc., etc.
