Change ringtone in 3CX Windows Phone v12

Is there a way to change the ringtone in v12 3CX Phone for Windows. Replacing the ringtone.wav seems not to be working.

You can replace ringtone.wav in the "Sounds" folder and it will work.
Please, try again or describe what you were doing.

There's no other place where 3CX Phone can take it's ringtone but Sounds/ringtone.wav

I can find the file. If I replace it does it need exactly the same name "ringtone.wav"??

Yes, It should be exactly the same name and folder.
To be sure it should be "wav" file and not "mp3" file renamed to ".wav".
But you can try mp3 as well, it might work also.

I have tried to replace the ringtone.wav file with another of the same name and the phone does not ring.
I have closed and opened 3CX a few time but to no avail.
If I put the original ringtone.wav file back the ring comes back.....
Is there something else I have to do to make this work??
Any help would be appreciated.

PJSIP states that file should be "16bit PCM mono WAVE, 8KHz".
You can check the file format in Winamp for example.

Please, find a suitable converter and convert your file to that format.
