Chat beetwing two groups

Hello,
Using 3CX Windows Client it is possible to start a IM Chat with an extension from another group, wich is not sharing presence information.
When starting a new chat, all extensions are shown in order to add them to the chat.

Hi Roberto,

Not possible without presence I don' think.

Perhaps look at the web client and see what your options are here, they are adding some great improvements to it.

Really. I made the following configuration:

UserA is in groupA. UserB is in groupB. The "Publish group information to all members" option is cleared for both groups.

UserA has the "Do not show extension in 3CX company phonebook" option checked, but userB can still find userA in the catalog when sending an IM message from the Windows client.

In the other clients the option works and userB is not able to see the contact.
It seems like a bug only from the Windows client.

Please note that this behaviour was by design and it is not a bug. We are however planning to make improvements regarding this in a future update. We do not have an ETA yet so keep an eye out in our blog post for any changes. https://www.3cx.com/blog/
