Choose port in gateway

#1 I am using a 8-line yeastar ta810 to make outgoing calls and want to be able to select which analog phone line is used, based on which extension is making the call. When I create an outgoing rule, I am given the opportunity to choose yeastar ta810 as my VOIP gateway, but not to select the port to use. How can I select the port? I am running 3CX-v16 and the latest yeastar firmware.

3CX does not know or care about the port so there is no way to choose a port in 3CX This has to be handled in the gateway. Your basic config is a single SIP account in the gateway and you chose one or more ports assigned to that SIP account. If you can setup more than one SIP account on the gateway then you can create second SIP account, assign the port(s) you want to that account and then set it up in 3CX as a second trunk/FXO gateway.

Some gateways can direct a call to a specific port based on a prefix (99x, where x = the line), sent to the gateway. I believe that Grandsteam does it this way on some gateways. For most others, you would have to provision each line (port) as an individual trunk in both 3CX and the gateway, as mentioned above. You could then use outbound rules to direct calls to specific trunks based on a prefix, or certain extensions.
