Hi guys,

It seems like a silly question, but it got me!

+++
We are on version 16.0.1078 of the Virtualized Server in the Cloud.
Enterprise
Licensed for 256 concurrent calls
New Deployment
+++

Although I understand that the number is related to the number of simultaneous sessions licensed, I had a case of a customer, in which the secretary was used to using their legacy PBX, to use in their Softphones the facility to add the participants of a conference and manage them in the app or the IP Phone. In this PABX, the maximum capacity was 8 participants per session.

++++++++
Problem Description: The secretary tried to use it this week and complained that they couldn't.

We looked for the reason. She mentioned that she used her smartphone, but did not use the ad-hoc meeting service on extension 700(default). We explained that she could use the ad-hoc meeting service by making a schedule and adding the numbers for internal extensions, and e-mails for people outside the company. She explained that she needed to open a call with some participants and that the scheduling service did not work for her.

workaround:
According to the tests I explain below, I believe Webclient meets her demand better than Apps.

++++++++

We validated each of the App clients:

1- smartphone App 3CX Android / iPhone - Supports max (1+2) = 3 max Participants
2- Windows App 3CX - Supports maximum (1+2) = 3 maximum participants
3- WebClient - we can do it with 6 participants, but I believe it supports more, although I understand it is not very smart to use the simultaneous voice channels, it is better to use ad-hoc meeting.
4- IP Phone Yealink T19P-E2 - 3 maximum (1+2)

I would like to search for this confirmation in the forum, is it correctly (without use webmeeting ad-hoc):
- Apps limited to only 3 participants including the caller.
- Webclient supports more participants, what is the maximum amount?

Ad-hoc conferences (without using the 700 bridge) are limited to 3 participants on the apps. Deskphones have their own limits. When using the 700 tho, you get a much bigger capacity.

As for scheduling, no need. She can simply forward the calls she makes to "700*ext" and it will put them in her "room". No need to schedule in advance.

Hi @Frederick Marcoux

Thank you for your answer.

I did a test now using the transfer to the "700*ext" and after it asks for the PIN. I think I did something wrong. Is this step right?

Frederick made a small typo I think, you need to transfer the call you are on to:
Code:
700**<extension number>
(with 2 star symbols in between, not 1)

A note I wanted to share

700*ext (asks for your name to announce) and when someone leaves, it announces who left the conference.

700**ext (works directly without asking for your name)

Thanks @Frederick Marcoux and @NickD_3CX.

The solution of using the meeting room and transferring it was optimal for the client's needs.
Thank you very much.
