I am having issues getting dect handset working on 3cx instance - the phone configures and shows extension number on the handset but when I try and make an outbound call I get the message on the phone screen "Via IP Phone Line Forbidden. I'm a bit of a novice - the version I am using is 18 and the system is hosted in Amazon Lightsail. I have a number of other extensions registered and working on the system. I initially had the unit provisioned via Stun and I have also tried an SBC and getting the same result with both of them. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  • 3CX Version, e.g. Standard Annual 16.0.2.910 -
I have tried it on version 18.0.1608 and 16.0.9
  • Server OS, e.g. Debian 9 / Windows Server 2012 R2 / Raspberry Pi
Debian 9
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where?
Hosted - Lightsail
  • IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware
Yealink W60B and W53H - updated all firmware to latest recommended
  • Provisioning Method: Local / VPN / STUN / SBC
Both Stun and SBC
  • Trunk Provider or Gateway Make/Model
Trunk provider is AAPT in Australia
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES / NO
Yes
  • Are custom Phone Templates being used: YES / NO
No custom templates being used.

I get the same message when trying to call an internal extension.

Please proceed to factory reset the base and the handset.

Once done, provision it again as per our guide here: https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/yealink-dect-w52p/

Make sure that your FXS section entry for the base contains the correct information (especially the SBC IP)
