Connecting 3CX to Google Voice via OBI200

Finally made inbound with caller id and outbound to work by combining the settings here and other stuff i saw on this forum~!!

Did you end up using VPN or a public IP? I'm sure that someone, in the future, is going to want to try the same thing.

No, i just added more additional stuff in Obi settings. and boom it worked.

Can you elaborate...more "stuff" such as...? Over and above what you had already posted in your Obi screenshots.

Okay ill post some screenshots.

On this configuration in Obi, Incoming call with caller ID works, as well as outgoing calls of Google Voice though OBI200 in 3CX.

My setup is self hosted 3CX in a Azure Server + Google Voice with OBI200 connected to a router.

Everything in the Service Provider Info is just there for your reference, it doesn't affect the operation at all.

Under ISTB Profile B, I can understand the use of the RegistrarServer and OutboundProxy settings. I have seen Gigaset devices that require these to be datafilled for even local network calls to function. Did this change the registration status at the 3CX end, as this information is for the Obi to reach 3CX. The real "trick" is to get an open path open back to the Obi, for an outbound call from 3CX. Perhaps this changed something in the router. Did you do any port forwarding in the local (to the Obi) router?

The activity log on 3CX still shows the same errors like as if nothing happened.
I didnt do any port forwarding on the router and its as is. I just added those changes on the obi settings.

The activity log on 3CX still shows the same errors like as if nothing happened.
You seemed to indicate that it was working, both ways, now. Is it, or are there still issues?

Yeah on the actual usage, there are no issues.

If you are still getting the same busy here / call failed errors (logs you posted earlier) , then that would indicate that (some?) calls are not able to reach the Obi.

I think I dont have those anymore. what error is prominent Im seeing is this:

03/31/2020 4:00:45 AM - [CM503003]: Call(C:70): Call to <sip:[email protected]:0> has failed; Cause: 487 Request Terminated/INVITE from 127.0.0.1:5483

127.0.0.1 is the localhost. I have no idea why you are getting those given the log you posted. What is 01? An extension? Is there more to the log, for call 70, other than that one line?

Im having this recently. what do you think is this?

04/01/2020 10:56:59 AM - Call to T:Line:10000>>xxxxxxxxxx@[Dev:sip:[email protected].12.160:5061] from L:95.1[Extn:01] failed, cause: Cause: 503 Service Unavailable/INVITE from xx.xx.12.160:5061
04/01/2020 10:56:59 AM - [CM503003]: Call(C:95): Call to <sip:xxxxxxxxxx@xx.xx.12.160:5061> has failed; Cause: 503 Service Unavailable/INVITE from xx.xx.12.160:5061

I changed some to xx

I take it that xx.xx.12.160:5061 is the public IP and port of the Obi. I also assume that the call you are attempting is failing. Does the Obi log show a call attempt? Is the Invite making it to the Obi?

I cant call also on my Google Voice app itself. hmmm

Has GV has this ban mechanism saying "sorry, we could not complete your call, please try again " or its just me?

Are you trying with a phone plugged into the Obi, or only via 3CX. The 3Cx logs would lend me to believe that 3Cx is still not able to send calls, consistently, to the Obi.

I have heard of issues if you re-register the Obi with GV too many times over a certain period.

What does the status, for GV show in the Ob...Connected?

Im trying it with a phone plugged into an OBI. Right now i cant call on 3CX and even on Google Voice website/app itself.

I have heard of issues if you re-register the Obi with GV too many times over a certain period.

I think thats what happened, and i am banned or blocked by their server. I read on the net that the issue will just resolve naturally.

I guess i have no choice to wait and see what happens.

You may also be blocked, for suspected SPAM, if you placed a lot of very short calls. They frown an that sort of thing. Log into your GV account and check the status.
