connecting to 3cx web management console from a client

Hi all,

I have successfully installed and tested 3cx in both cassini and IIS environment. The problem is that I cannot connect to the 3CX web management console from a client when 3CX is installed on IIS. But it is possible using the cassini.

For cassini - http:// ip_address:5481 - works
for IIS - http://ip_address:1025/5480/5482, etc - does not work

When I tried http://ip_address/management/ on IIS environment it gets connected successfully.

I wanted to know if there is any port number that I can use to connect to 3cx in IIS.

hello

you should try this :

http://youripaddress/management/MainForm.wgx

If you try to access it from your internal lan, you should place the ip of your server, if you want to connect it from outside of your local netword using a wan access, you should place the ip provided by your ISP with appropriate ports forwarding rules placed on your router.

Here that way it works fine !!

yes it got connected that way. Thanks. But is there a way to get connected by using the port number ip_addressort number rather than using ip_address/management/....etc. ? which port number should i use?

Of course you can use a port - 80, no way to escape, http://ip_address:80/management/ :mrgreen:

On XP running IIS, management, as IVR also, is a virtual directory.

Its working now.. I added /management after the ip address
