Apologies, I don't have permission to post in ideas, so please feel free to move.
With the first alpha roll-out of the long awaited SMS, the first thing my staff said this morning was, "Sweet, we can finally mass SMS groups of clients!". We are a managed service provider, so what they meant was, we could have our customers contacts grouped by "Comcast Customers" and "Office 365 Customers" so that we can contact them via SMS during outages. Apparently there is no grouping functionality within 3CX yet, but I see this becoming more and more important, especially with SMS rolling out. With 3CX truly becoming a place for unified communication, being able to manage these contacts in bulk is becoming more and more necessary, in my opinion.
In our use case scenario, the vast majority of our texting will be outbound, and being able to select a group of contacts to quickly notify people of outages, or other service affecting events would be extremely nice.
Kudos to the team for rolling out SMS! I was up and running in about 60 seconds.
