Contact list not alphabetical

Since Monday a customers contact list (not presence list) is no longer showing in alphabetical order on the softphone. Last week it was fine. I have checked it is set to first name, last name in the admin portal. The order it is showing seems to be listing by phone number as far as I can tell, business number contact, then mobile, etc. Any ideas?
