Hi there!

I am having an issue with the contacts exist in a 3CX system. As soon as someone updates a contact on the system, the clients who are using Yealink T58 IP phones doesn't see the updated contact. They have to tap the "Refresh" button on their devices. This "Refresh" button is at the right top corner of the "Phonebook" window. In my case, we are talking for the "Remote Phone Book" list.

So, the users still see the outdated contact list, unless they tap on that "Refresh" or if their devices are rebooted for some reason. The client is complaining, because the users should always use that refresh before they start searching for a contact, in case the contact is amended!

Is there any solution on that, so the IP Phones will get the updated contacts automatically, without users needing to "Refresh" the Remote Phone Book list?

Thanks a lot in advance for your input.

Within the phone gui, what are the settings for

Hi @Saqqara!

Thanks for your reply. I see that the time interval is at 21600 seconds. That means 6 hours.

But if I change that on the devices, wouldn't that change again as soon as a device is re-provisioned?

Hello,

I believe this setting is left untouched (ie. the factory default setting is kept unless you change it manually).

You can change it in one phone and then reboot it to confirm. This will cause more traffic on your PBX and network though (especially if you have a lot of phones) but 3600 should be fine for an hourly refresh.

Hi @JohnS_3CX!

Thanks a lot for the tips. I confirm that the setting stays even after the reboot.

Please consider this thread as solved!
