I had a call today from a small company looking for a phone system The are out in the country at a rural property but need 9 phones. They have 2 analog lines, and I expect that the internet will be crappy because of the area.

Honestly I would normally sell them a hybrid system that will do analog lines just because of the rural aspect, but the owner wants cordless handsets. He sent me some pictures of some Vtech SNOM phones he found online.

This made me think maybe they would be a good fit for 3CX (the hybrid system I sell does not do cordless handsets, and correct me if I'm wrong but neither do the majority of traditional business phone systems, IE Avaya, Panasonic etc).

But the one issue I have is the analog lines. Is there any (reasonable) way to hook up analog lines to a 3CX box?

And am I right in assuming that the VTECH/SNOM cordless phones will work well with 3CX?

Doing a site visit Monday, maybe the internet will be better than I think it is, but even still I am reluctanct to talk them into 100% VOIP.

Many vendors have DECT IP cordless phones that work well with 3CX.
We recommend Patton 4114 to connect analog lines to 3CX. There are other vendors for this too, but Patton is the best.

Is it possible you may have a better chance using 4G in that location instead of crappy land line ?
if so, then it could be a way to host a cloud instance for PBX and set a SBC behind a 4G router

but Patton is the best.

Couldn't agree more - rock solid reliable units with excellent troubleshooting capabilities.

If browsing turns to buying however you are better off getting the newly supported Trinity models so an SN4141 JO unit is what you would be looking at.

Thanks for the tips guys, I wasn't sure if there were reliable Analog gateways available for 3CX. SO I guess my simplest path (to give them the cordless that they want) is to stand up a local 3CX server on a NUC or similar PC and add the gateway. At least I can offer them what they want.
