Cost efficient solution for adopting 3CX

Greetings,

I'm in the process of switching from an old PBX to 3CX and to reduce the costs I was wondering what is the best thing to do about the phone/softphones.
I see Sennheiser headsets are supported but they cost a bit too much, I already have jabra Pro 925 headests but theyr multifuction button doesn't accept calls.

So I was thinking about buying Yealink SIP42S phones, pluggind the jabra headsets into them (via theyr adaptor Yealink EHS36) and plugging the phone into the PC, will this solution be 100% supported by 3CX?

Is there a better solution?

So you haven't said what your requirements are so it would be hard to say if there is a better solution. But from a 'cost efficient' stand point yes there are cheaper phones than the T42S.

Also, I'm assuming when you say plug the phone into the PC you mean the other way around. Most phones have a PC port to let you share the ethernet connection. If you actually mean plug the phone into the PC then that's not possible, at least not in any functional sense.

Sorry I'm a bit new to this concept, yes the phone is like a "bridge" and shares the internet connection, I'd like the possibility to not use the phisical phone on the desk and only have instead the softphone with a bluetooth headset connected to the PC.

- Answering directly from the headset, both from 3CX and possibly Skype
- TAPI integration

Well anything that works with Skype will work with 3CX from a strict audio standpoint. As far as advance functionality like being able to pickup calls with buttons on the wireless headset, that might be a little bit tricker. Have you installed the Jabra Direct software? I have a Jabra headset and the Jabra Direct software recognizes the 3CXPhone.
