Current Sonicwall Screenshots

Hey Folks,

Looking for screenshots/config setting for a Sonic wall (current OS). Looking at some other threads the 3CX guide is based on 5.x version and I guess Sonicwall is up to 7.x or something? Anyways, one of my customers had their firewall replaced by their IT folks and they are having trouble getting the Sonicwall configured so the firewall test passes. I pointed them to the 3CX guide as well as recommended Consistent NAT be turned on and SIP transformations off per another thread but still getting the 'Mapping does not match' for all the ports.

I don't have a single Sonicwall under management (can't stand them) so I don't have any thing to reference.

So, i've recently got 3 x 3CX PBX's to pass their firewall tests behind Sonicwalls (they had been working fine for years but I like this to be green in the console!)

I've found that in some cases I've needed to upgrade FW because I didnt have the option to "Disable port mapping" in the NAT rules. Following the 3CX Guide to the letter was also something that got my test to pass. And also creating a loopback policy in the firewall to allow requests to go out and back in again for when users try and access web client via FQDN which resolves to external IP.

Following this, I may or may not have had to change a few things based on network set up (multiple WAN IPs)

If you click at the bottom left of the web GUI the Sonicwall will show in ‘classic mode’ which will match the guide much closer.

SonicOS 7 won't allow going back to classic.
