hi,

i used to be able to create custom templates (i know not officially supported) with ease in previous versions of 3CX .

Latest version I am no longer able to do this by changing usual fields in Yealink T46S template.

Anybody else have this issue ? There seems to be new fields and would like to know if anybody been able to do this successfully?

I have custom templates on the latest version of 3CX. No issues here. Debian install.

Are you editing the stock one via nano/vi (etc) on the server directly or copy/re-assign phones to a new template?

I'm not changing logos (Enterprise here, so I can use the UI)

hi,

I do all via Web GUI.

I copy Yealink T4X template and work on that and assign to extension. The fields i usually assign to my uploaded PNG seem to have changed :(

Template seems to have changed. Now it looks like you only need to modify Line 26:

<model ua="SIP-T46S" defaultlogo="newlogo.png" logowidth="400" logoheight="272" logobitdepth="24">Yealink T46S-nnyealinkt4x</model>

Is there a nicer way ?

Thanks for your links @SweetAction

Yes this was the way i always did it and it worked. Templates appear to have changed though in 15.5 . I will just overwrite the yealinkt46.png file itself and see if new logo dumps to phone

Thanks yes i may need to update licence for failover (work in progress) anyhow so that should work too once customer upgrades...
