Hi,

I have not found any documentation on this or found anything related to it in 3CX. Is there a way to pull the logs for who has accessed recordings for a specific user? (Whether they were downloaded or just listened to in the 3CX webclient portal)

We have an executive who believes someone accessed their phone call recordings but I don't see a way to access these logs.

Thanks,

This is not currently possible, but it could be something that might be added to the audit log in the future.

Hi @nickuniquename,

While our system doesn't have an intentional way of being able to find this data, what you can do is check the Management Console log, provided it goes back far enough, to find "downloadRecording" as a string which should appear like this example: Request starting HTTP/1.0 HEAD http ://XX.XX.XX.XX/MyPhone/downloadRecording/338?sessionId=[the session ID you can search for now]

The sessionId above, if searched (and provided that the log goes back far enough) will produce something like this:

1ST Login User:101, Password:null, SessionID:da9f68b3-d334-0f33-6547-b6752a4421a4

Hope this helps!

I encourage you to take a look at our 3CX Recording Manager tool. We provide a complete audit trail of who has logged in to view recordings, whether they downloaded, listened to, emailed, or attempted to delete a recording.

Access to recordings is restricted based on group management rights. As a result, a group manager cannot access recordings made by the CEO, Human Resources, or their direct supervisor. They can only access the recordings they have rights to, and everything they do is logged.
