Dial-By-Name Directory With Short Names

Hello,

I see that there have been other posts where people have mentioned that there is an issue with the dial-by-name directory if a person only has a 2 letter last name. 3CX' instructions say to enter a 0 following the first 2 letters of their name, but this is not reasonable. People calling in will have no idea that they need to do this. There needs to be a solution for this, and so far I have not seen an adequate one. In our case, allowing us to switch the directory to first name would solve the problem.

Thanks.. Yes, I did see that one and I guess it is the only option at this point. It will create many more cases where a caller will have to select from multiple options, but it should at least work better than now.
