Hello,

we just added a second phone number into our 3CX and it works well. We set up office hours + destinations + IVRs for calls during/outside office hours in "Inbound rules".

The only issue we have is that we don't know how to set up prompt for "Away" status only for this number. When we use "Away" status on extension (customer can't call to any of our 2 phone numbers), there is still the same prompt for both numbers ("..we can't answer your call right now - you can send us an email to [email protected]).

We would like to use different prompt for "Away" status for the second number because we are using this number for a different project. Is it possible?

Thank you for any help.

I'd suggest setting 2 inbound rules (1 for each number) to go to 2 dummy EXTs before continuing the normal call route. These dummy extensions can be set to do whatever based on status.

The extension itself is where the status applies, not the numbers.

So if you use the above example by @kieferschild you should be able to control them independently

Thank you for your help guys.

Status is working fine. We just can't figure out how to use different IVRs for different numbers.

For example:

- I am using the Away status.
- You can't call me me on number 1 and you can't call me on number 2. That's fine.
- On the number 1, you should hear, that you can send me an email to [email protected]. On the number 2, you should hear that you can contact me on [email protected] - is it possible?

you can send DID 1 to dummy extension 1

and DID 2 to dumme extension 2

If you want control over specific callers, the individual extension's Forwarding settings also have this at the very bottom:
