Hello,

I have a 3CX Phone System on a Windows 7 PC. We have both Cisco SPA Phones and Yealink T29G phones on it, we were wondering how to set up the system so that users know if the call is being transferred to them from another user or if the call was directly for them. Thanks for the help!

hmm we have yealinks T38 and the CID displays from:DID on screen.
If its from the IVR it will show somethink like group800:CID
if its from an inbound line directly, CID:DID shows on the tel display.
Wha do you get?

Ours will display the CID followed by a blastgroup if the call was made to one. Otherwise it only displays the Caller ID.

Then im confused about the issue. Im sorry.
If its being transfered by a previous user, it should be an attended transfer ?
if its direct DID to ext, they get the CID on display. right?

There aren't any DID's setup for this system yet besides the main number. When someone calls the main number, the call hits a blast group. The users would like to be able to know if the call is either directed to the blast group, to their particular extension, or being transferred from a different extension.

When a call comes through a blast group the blast group will appear on the screen of the phone. But if the call comes from a different extension then the name of the blast group will not appear on the screen. What you will see on the screen however depends on the type of transfer.

When the call is transferred through a blind transfer then you will not see who is transferring the call only the number of the caller. When it is an attended transfer then you will see the extension that will perform the transfer calling you and when the transfer is complete then you will see the callers number.
