Digital Receptionist Fax

Hey, here's a tough one, one of you highly skilled 3cxers can help with.

We have a digital receptionist that gives 4 options, if no selection is made, I want it to route to the Fax extension.

I understand that I would be making a selection of Connect to Extension under Destination for invalid or no DTMF input, however my Fax extension doesn't show up in the available list. How can I make it show up there? I'm hoping it isn't something simple staring me in the face.

I mean, technically there is nothing stopping you from configuring your fax machine ATA (assuming you are using an ATA) with a standard extension instead of a "fax" only extension.
SIP is sip regardless.

Manual provisioning is the downside.

Or are you trying to get it to the 3CX fax server?

Trying to get it to the 3cx fax server. I wonder if I just create an extension, then have that extension forward to the Fax Extension? Maybe I'll try that in the meantime.

I haven't tried it but yes that's typically how you have to 'hack' things in 3CX to get calls where you want them to go.
