Hello,
16.0.619 Enterprise Edition here.
We have several groups where the managers are able to listen and whisper into the agents' calls in the same group and everything works well.
The only problem is that the managers can listen to each other's personal calls if they're both in the same group. Imagine if the CEO wants to be added to a group to randomly listen some calls, the other managers would be able to listen to his calls as well!
Is there a way for an extension to be "unlistenable"?

Thank you!

Hi Davide,

Unfortunately no, this is not preventable. If your extension is part of a group where some people have listening rights, they will be able to listen in.

However you can leave the CEO out of that group (so its members can't listen in on the CEO extension) and give the CEO a second extension part of the group in question, that will be able to listen in.

They can use that extension in another client (ie. have Webclient for normal extension, and windows client for listen-in extension)

Thank you John! As a workaround I've disabled this for the CEO, it seems to do the trick!

That won't be very effective for internal calls though, only external calls the CEO makes.

If the CEO calls my extension (i'm a simple user), my supervisor can listen into my own calls - so they can still monitor an internal call where the CEO is a participant.

You're right! I had the concept in mind that we use 3CX basically only for external calls. I'll propose what you've suggested, thank you as usual
