Solved Disable Webmeeting Bridge

Hi,


I am attempting to setup a low cost solution for one of my customers. The deployment is roughly 8 IP Phones (previous Polycom VVX 300s). These older IP Phones require a 3CX SBC. With the SBC, we cannot have an outside SIP Trunk with the Webmeeting Bridge. Is there a way to disable or delete Webmeeting bridge from the SIP Trunks list, or have an outside SIP Trunk? (PBX is free version with only 2 SIP Trunks Available.)

Are you saying that with having the webmeeting bridge and the SBC, you can't make a 3rd trunk for PSTN connectivity?

We are not getting an error. The customer does not plan on using Webmeeting Bridge anyway. Is there a way to disable it? Like a possible workaround? We are trying to understand if there is any way we can disable it so that it is not active & so that we do not need to upgrade versions.

If it's a Standard version, dial-in is disabled anyway.

Would it still be possible to add another SIP Trunk to the PBX? My customer wants to stick with the cheapest route possible.

Yes, trunks are unlimited. The only limit of a 3CX is the SC on the license.

The webmeeting bridge cannot be removed, and it does not affect the number of trunks you have at all.

I think you are maybe confusing the number that appears here?


That number means that the maximum possible calls that the bridge would use, IF you were actually using it. It does not mean that it is using all 50 right now.

So go ahead and add your trunks and don't worry about it, your system will be fine.

The system displays that I have 2/2 trunks. The SBC that was required to set up my customer's legacy products, took up one of those trunks.

If you add more trunks it will say 3/3 and so on..
