Dynamics 365 - new contact is not created if the number is not defined.

Hi, сolleagues.

Our Client has Server Integration whith Dynamics 365.

Product Professional Unlimited
Version number
16.0.1581
Updates 03/27/2020 13:35:59

When an incoming call appears, the button "go to CRM" only if the contact is recorded.
If this is an unknown number there is no button and a new card is not created by Dynamics.

Everything is done according to the description- https://www.3cx.com/docs/dynamics-crm-integration/

But a new contact is not created in Dynamics 365 if the number is unknown. How to solve this problem?

Hello @mikhail.iuvchenko@novait.

In order to troubleshoot this, please enable verbose logs from the 3CX Console > Dashboard > Activity Log > Settings. Then make a test call from an unknown number and check the 3cxSystemService.log file.
 
In the 3cxSystemService.log log, I see the following error:

There is a problem trying to get an access token (login phase). Please check if the app in Azure was created according to the documentation (it needs to be a Native app). Also, ensure that the Tenant ID specified is correct.

I deleted the integration and set it up again. Everything is working. Now if the number is undefined, then I have a button to go to the CRM.

But I have a question.
Can we change the field to which the phone number is transmitted? For example, in the field "Mobile phone"?

You need to go to the 3CX console > Settings > CRM Integration > Show template button. Then copy the XML to a text editor, make the changes that you need, and upload the customized XML template as a new custom integration.

Can you please describe what should we change in XML? Because we do not want to break the logic of integration.
 
Look for the scenario with Id="CreateContactRecord". You will see that it has the following post values:

You need to change "telephone1" to "mobilephone".

Means that the app in Azure was not properly created. You need to ensure that you create a "Native" app.
