A little history. Trying to figure out dynamics CRM integration settings. I could not get it to pull data. After reading these forums I was looking for the logs on the client and noticed that nothing was getting logged. I then uninstalled ALL 3CX applications on the client. Ran CCLeaner to clear out everything. Verified all directories were gone and reinstalled the WIndows client. Made sure the extension had Dynamics integration enabled. Now I can not get it to show on the client under Advanced Setting > Integration. Any ideas?

Please note that the client side integration has been deprecated. If you use a cloud hosted edition of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, then you should use the server side approach, which is easier to configure:
https://www.3cx.com/docs/dynamics-crm-integration/

However, if you've an on-premise installation, this will not work for you. In case you still need to use the client side approach, ensure that you provision and restart your 3CXPhone for Windows client, so it gets the plugin again from the server. Ensure that your client is connected to the 3CX server and you see the presence information, as the same service is used to download the plugin.

Kind regards.

Thanks for the quick reply. We are using on-premise. The phone had been provisioned and presence is working. Just incase I did send a reprovision to the soft phone. I've exited (closed) the softphone and reopened. It is online with presence working and still no dynamics.

Can you check the 3CXPhone logs to see if there is any problem there? The logs are in folder "%AppData%\3CXPhone for Windows\Logs". Also, ensure that you have a PRO license key in your 3CX server, as the feature is only available in PRO.

Looking in logs now (to be honest not sure what I am looking for so just looking for errors). This is an Enterprise License.

Yes, look for any error in the connection to download the plugin...

Also, check if the 3CXPhone installation folder "C:\ProgramData\3CXPhone for Windows\PhoneApp\DotNetScripts" has the Dynamics scripts inside...

The last one helped. I saw the Dynamics Scripts folder inside so I closed soft phone. Renamed the folder to "MicrosoftDynamicsCRM-old" then reopened the softphone and I have Dynamics option back. Thanks Now I hope to have some Dynamics logs.

Just to confirm the client side should work with On-Premise Dynamics 365? Still unable to get this to work.

Yes, it should work.

Check the logs from "%AppData%\3CXPhone for Windows\Logs".

So there is no Dynamic logs still. There is DotNetScript log with this. I replaced the token key with XXXXXX

9/5/2018 11:02:08 AM - Plug-in configuration page loaded for plug-in 'Microsoft Dynamics CRM'

That log is created when you load the configuration dialog. And that looks good.

But there is another log created when 3CXPhone loads the plugin. If you don't see it, then probably 3CXPhone is not loading the plugin. You can check this in the 3CXPhone logs, when it starts.

The problem seems to be a typo. The plugin name should be 'DotNetScriptPlugin' and not 'DotNetScriptPlugi'.

Check the file "C:\ProgramData\3CXPhone for Windows\PhoneApp\3CXWin8Phone.user.config", adjust the plugin name and restart 3CXPhone.

Thanks that worked and I am now starting to get MicrosoftDynamicsCRM.log

So if I use https I get (port 443)
9/5/2018 3:36:19 PM - C:\ProgramData\3CXPhone for Windows\PhoneApp\DotNetScripts\MicrosoftDynamicsCRM\VERSION
9/5/2018 3:36:19 PM - Plugin Version: 916
9/5/2018 3:36:19 PM - Using DiscoveryUri=https://xx.xx.xx.xx/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc
9/5/2018 3:36:19 PM - Error loading configuration: ID3242: The security token could not be authenticated or authorized.
9/5/2018 3:36:22 PM - MyPhoneStatusChanged - Status='LoggedIn' - Extension='xxxx'

If I use http (port 80)
9/5/2018 3:34:14 PM - C:\ProgramData\3CXPhone for Windows\PhoneApp\DotNetScripts\MicrosoftDynamicsCRM\VERSION
9/5/2018 3:34:14 PM - Plugin Version: 916
9/5/2018 3:34:15 PM - Using DiscoveryUri=http://xx.xx.xx.xx/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc
9/5/2018 3:34:15 PM - Error loading configuration: Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved: 'http://10.10.11.34/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc?wsdl&sdkversion=8.2'. --> The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
9/5/2018 3:34:19 PM - MyPhoneStatusChanged - Status='LoggedIn' - Extension='xxxx'

So it appears to be trying to make the connection. Any ideas?

After clearing out the plugin issue and getting some logs we think our issue now is the SDK versions.

Hello @David Hill,

The error "ID3242: The security token could not be authenticated or authorized." is usually a problem with the date and time of the client machine. Try enabling internet time synchronization, so the client machine has the same time than the server.

Kind regards.

Times were synced. After playing with the settings I ended up having to do this for username.

uncheck default
username: domain\user (this before I was only putting "user" not "domain\user")
password: password
Domina: domain

I am now getting the follow log and just want to confirm this is the response I should be getting.

9/6/2018 2:54:20 PM - C:\ProgramData\3CXPhone for Windows\PhoneApp\DotNetScripts\MicrosoftDynamicsCRM\VERSION
9/6/2018 2:54:20 PM - Plugin Version: 916
9/6/2018 2:54:20 PM - Using DiscoveryUri=https://xxx.xxx/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc
9/6/2018 2:54:21 PM - Using OrganizationUri=https://xxx.xxx/orgname/XRMServices/2011/Organization.svc
9/6/2018 2:54:23 PM - MyPhoneStatusChanged - Status='LoggedIn' - Extension='xxxx'

This is what I get when call comes in. The number matches an account main phone but does not pull info. I have contact lookup in: Contacts table and Accounts table with order of Account, Contacts.

9/6/2018 3:02:34 PM - CallStatusChanged - CallID='71:3' - RealTimeCallID='71' - Incoming='True' - OtherPartyNumber='5555551234' - State='Ringing'
9/6/2018 3:02:34 PM - Call arrived - contactNumber='5555551234' - callType='Inbound' - callId='71'.
9/6/2018 3:02:39 PM - CallStatusChanged - CallID='71:3' - RealTimeCallID='71' - Incoming='True' - OtherPartyNumber='' - State='Connected'
9/6/2018 3:02:39 PM - Call connected - callType='Inbound' - callId='71'.
9/6/2018 3:02:42 PM - CallStatusChanged - CallID='71:3' - RealTimeCallID='71' - Incoming='True' - OtherPartyNumber='5555551234' - State='Ended'
9/6/2018 3:02:42 PM - Call ended - callType='Inbound' - callId='71'.
