Hi There,
Does 3cx send email notification too all extension if no one receives the incoming or forwarded calls ?
suppose call comes in & all ext rings in the group & if no one answer does it sends notification to all ext or what , how does it work ?

Seems pretty easy to test yourself but no. You can get voicemail to email, and you can get queue notifications but nothing for ring groups

Hi Cobaltit
Thanks for quick response, i am not using call queue,
i have created ring group & enable all the ext to receive mail notifications of that group.
i got complaint from management that when no one answered the calls more than 4 people got the email notification for the same incoming number & later all them try to call that number back & its giving a bad reputation.

Ok I think it's a mixup in terminology. There are no mail 'notifications' for missed calls to a ring group. But if you configured the 'Destination if no answer' to go to the voicemail box for the ring group then if a voicemail is left then it will send the voicemail to all group members exactly as it says:

I'm not sure what the issue is since you configured it to do that. If you don't want it to do that, then change the destination. If clients don't like receiving calls about the same thing over and over then perhaps you guys should change your business process so that doesn't happen :). What did you do before 3CX?

Perhaps attached image give you an idea, have a look.
that ext is in ring group & it has received miss called notification.
if you receive calls multiple times for the same things perhaps you would also get irritate.
i am using 3cx only from the beginning.

Ahh ok. I misunderstood you. So you enabled the Missed call notification on the extensions. The extensions are part of the ring group. So it sounds like you have two options:

- Uncheck the option to receive email notifications for missed calls on the extensions
- Change your business process so your team communicates before calling so the person doesn't receive 4 calls.

I absolutely see how a person could be annoyed by receiving multiple calls but that's not 3CX's fault. 3CX is not making the calls to the customer. It's simply doing exactly what you told it to do which was to send an email every time a call was missed. Your team needs to change on how they act upon that notification.

Thanks for the response,
yeah i saw the setting in extension under the options i have to uncheck send email notification on missed call, that's perfect for what i want so that not everyone will receive alert for missed call.
& i will keep it enable at the end where call finally would be routed to receptionist if no one answer it.
thanks a lot for your suggestion :)
