Hi,

I have added some text in "Extension Welcome" email template and added %%EXTLASTNAME%% . But these changes are not reflected in the welcome email when I try to regenerate or Send Welcome email to any extension.

Any idea what is it that I am not doing correctly.

Tested on v16 - and %%EXTLASTNAME%% is already in the template and works.

I am also using v16 on Linux. Mine is not working.

Hi @Green-Tower

Firstly, in case you damaged the original template, go to Settings > Parameters and delete the following parameter: MAILTEMPLATE_EXTWELCOME_CUSTOM

Careful!! You must not change anything else in here. Backup your system BEFORE you make the change just to be safe :)

Now when you are done, go to Settings > Email > Email Templates > Select Extension Welcome
You can then edit the HTML code: as a test, change the line that starts with "Hi.." should be line number 23 I believe. Just adjust the parameter by typing LAST where it says FIRST

Hi @NickD_3CX,

I did what you explained but still no success. I have added %%EXTLASTNAME%% but when I send an email to the extension. Also tried replacing %%EXTFIRSTNAME%% with %%EXTLASTNAME%% but it still shows the default one. The only change that happens is in the subject line.

Hi,

This template does not look like the one we have in V16 update 3.

Can you Please state your PBX version?

you should update pbx to latest V16 SP3 release 16.0.3.676

You are using an ALPHA release. The latest STABLE release is 16.0.3.676

hi,

The update 4 alpha changes the default welcome email template.

Search for the parameter within the HTML editing box, you will find it 2x and you need to replace both.
