Hi,

Hi we have a site using Yealink T41s phones

Is there a way to enable endpoint redirection (so a call forward can be set on the IP phone rather than through the portal)

if so can some one point me in the right direction :)

thanks

No. There's absolutely no way rather than use statuses. You can configure them and use dial codes to change status tho.

3CX doesn't support endpoint call forward and it's known to cause many, MANY, issues.

Just to clarify what @Frederick Marcoux said. Yes, you can absolutely setup call forwarding on the phone. This is on the phone so it's completely independent of 3CX or any other PBX. Refer to the Yealink manual for this. But this is a bad idea because invariably users setup call forwarding on the phone and forget they did it. Then they complain they aren't getting any calls and there's no visible indicator in the management console. If forwarding is done via status then you can see that in the management console (and change).

Also, I guess it depends if you want it set 'on the phone' or 'from the phone'. You can program BLFs or use star codes to change statuses (and thus call forwarding) from the phone.

Hi @Calz88

As described above, we do not support port forwards being done on the phone and @cobaltit gave a good description of why.

The users can make us of dial codes to switch statuses though, and the statuses can be reprogrammed to forward calls to a different destination via a number of ways

- mobile client
- windows client
- webclient
- management console
