Hi 3cxers,
we are setting up an HA 3cx system where we have 2 sites and at each site we will have 2 servers that allows failover from each site as per below.

PBX Site APBXSite B
Site A main serverSite B primary server
Site B secondary serverSite A secondary server

As the diagram implies, we have 2 enterprise licences to set up a pbx at each site, thus distributing our org load.
Server failover works fine, tested and all good. the issue comes with functionalities between sites.

Is it possible to have the addressbooks synced between the two sites and searchable via desk phones (yealink)?

thanks

The only way I can see you synchronising address books is by using 365 and syncing the contacts of a shared mailbox.

Otherwise, have 1 PBX and use SBCs.

SBC's are for cloud hosted pbx right? we have an inhouse hosted one so dont know alternative. The only way i found is to add the addressbook as contacts on the other pbx but this will add manual intervention every time we have an extension update

SBCs are used to tunnel to the PBX mitigating the need for routing.

Are they the same customer?

Why not just have 1 PBX at site A, Primary Server and failover PBX and site B, Primary server.

There are several ways to make redundancy.. it's all about how easy you want to make your administration..

Whats the need for 2 seperate PBX? are the 2 different companies?

Its the same organization and manage a number of companies. Thus we split the load over 2 pbx's.

Ok, the only way I can see you having one central address book for the 2 would be to sync shared mailbox contacts via 365 sync on both PBX.
