I have a user at Ext 200 who is a member of a ring group. She needs to work in another part of the building for part of the day, but still needs to take ring group calls. She forwards her calls from Ext 200 to Ext 210 using one of the custom statuses on her 3CX. However, while direct calls to her number do get forwarded, ring group calls do not.

On Ext 200, I set the custom status to forward both internal and external calls to Ext 210, I also checked "Accept calls from Ring Groups" on Ext 200 & 210 in the admin console, but am still not receiving ring group calls on Ext 210.

It isn't practical to make 210 a member of the ring group as that area is used for other purposes. What am I missing? Thanks.

You are not. Ring groups use the phones status - not the extensions status.
You could try custom parameter ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP to see if it fixes your requirement.

Thank you. I've made the change. They are 5 hours behind us, so I can't test this until tomorrow.

ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP is still not supported. 20 versions later.

They still report the same issue. Regular calls forward, but not ring groups calls.

I changed the ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP back to 0.

You can get her to use a desktop/mobile client or the webclient so she can take her extension with her so to speak.

Unless 210 is part of the ring group then it will not receive RG calls.
