The Call Screening ON feature for an extension;
We have found that this ONLY works if call is routed to cell phone number if enabled in extension forwarding settings. Shouldn't this be for any call and require caller to say their name BEFORE the phone rings employees extension?
What happens today:
Extension 1556 has Call Screening ON checkbox enabled. Outside party calls ext. 1556, phone rings, employee answers, but no introduction of calling party, just a straight call.
What should happen:
Extension 1556 has Call Screening ON checkbox enabled. Outside party calls ext.1556 , outside party says their name after prompted to do so, phone rings at 1556, employee picks up, hears callers name, is then prompted to take or divert call.
Right? Should not matter if you have a cell phone configured. Kinda like folks screening their calls with answering machine at home.
Nothing really in the admin manual here about that feature: http: //www.3cx.com/manual/3CXPhoneSystemManual10.pdf NO LONGER AVAILABLE. NEW LINK: http://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/
Maybe someone can clarify a flowchart-like breakdown of this feature?
