Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone tried to solve this issue in the past. As you all know in the 3CX PBX depending on the format digit of the extension I can have either 2,3,4, or 5 extension digit format.
Problem I am trying to solve is let's say I have 2 extensions 0045 and 0003. When dialing on the phone instead of dialing the full extension 0045 I want to dial just 45 and the 3CX to take that and make it dial 0045. Now I have tried creating a simple outbound rule and add the prepend digits 00 in front and that doesn't seem to be working. Does anyone have any suggestions? this would mean great help. Thank you.

SIP ID.

Hello @Alex Siclovan,

By default, the extension number must be dialed to call the extension. If you want to change the digit length, you will have to reinstall the License and reconfigure it from the start.

Alternatively, you can utilize the Direct SIP calling and add a SIP ID to each extension.
Navigate to the Options tab of the extension and set up SIP ID " 45 " .
Enable Allow Direct SIP calling from the Admin Console >> System >> Options.

Once configured, save the changes and then dial 45 on your device.
