We're experiencing a very specific issue with cell phones showing extension numbers as CallerID.
  • Inside the SIP Trunk (Voip.ms) outbound parameters, we have Remote Party ID User Part set to OriginatorCallerID. This was set to allow CallerID to be passed through on forwarded calls.
  • When one extension (example: 200) calls another extension (example: 201), which has "ring my mobile simultaneously" enabled, the CallerID on the cell phone shows up as 200.
    • The expected result was it to show the extension's Outbound Caller ID when it rings the mobile phone instead of extension number.
    • The only way to fix this is to switch Remote Party ID User Part to OutboundCallerID, but that BREAKS the ability to transfer calls out to cell phones and show the original CallerID.
Is there a way to pass original CallerID on transferred calls AND show an extension's outbound CallerID when ringing cell phone?

This is the behaviour that I would want as i would consider it an internal call (extension to extension, with mobile ringing at the same time). This may be intentional;.

Hello @titantech

This is how the Originator Caller ID option works. When enabled it will show the callers ID which in your case is the extension 200 since you are making an extension to extension call.
Unfortunately there is no way to achieve both.
