We have many good featrues in the 3cx but what I´m really missing is the option to allow specific calls come through while a status like "out of office" is activated. The options allow to forward calls depending on internal, external calls and even exceptions can be defined depending on the source number and time. You can choose a lot of destionations (mailbox, other extensions, external numbers and even the mobile phone) but it seems to be impossible to choose "do NOT forward" for a defined selection. So we`re not able to receive i.e. internal calls while external calls are forwarded to the mailbox. The only way would be to send them to the mobile phone but normally one will use the 3CX App instead of a mobile call which is impossible this way and the exceptions (from forwarding) are not really excpetions because you cannot allow these calls to get trough.

Yes, but that doesn`t do the desired functionality.

The needed option would be to be able to forward an external call (i.e. to the mailbox or receptionist) while an internal call is still going through to the extension. For that you´d need to set the option "do not forward" for an internal call. This option is missing and it`s also missing in the exceptions section. You`re not able to exclude a source from beeing forwarded. With all currently available options you MUST forward the call to somewhere so it`s an exception from the general defined rule but not an exception from being forwarded.

What you're asking for is indeed not possible exactly how you describe it. There is a very similar feature request post that you might want to consider upvoting here: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/choose-to-receive-internal-but-not-external-calls.49529/

If this configuration is only meant for a few extensions, what you could do is utilize Ring Groups. You could for instance create a Ring Group for each of these extensions (one Ring Group per extension) and then set the DND status of that extension to forward internal calls to the ring group but external calls to voicemail. Make sure that "Accept calls from Ring Groups" is enabled for that extension's DND status.

Important: Do bear in mind that Ring Groups were not designed to be used in this manner so I would not actually recommend implementing this type of configuration especially if you want this for a large number of extensions as it would prove tedious to configure and manage.
