Extensions not registering

Hello.

I installed the 3CX VoIP PBX last night, created 02 extensions which worked very good, even with external IP using no-ip. Today, after I restarted my server computer, those 02 extensions are not registering at all. I tried changing the domain ip to local ip. Nothing working, except the Acanac VoIP line is online, registered and the light is green. Any suggestions?

Does the server log indicate that there is an AUTH attempt?

Also, is it possible that you have your server setup for dhcp and it is using a different lan IP now since you rebooted? I realize you are accessing the 3cx web admin console, but perhaps you are doing that via the hostname when the ip changed.

Hi Nahidul ....

Have a look at server status and start troubleshooting from there. You could also have firewall issues - remember you changed 3CX PBX settings from external (dynamic DNS) to local IP, - phone settings have to be changed too. Check Authentication and credentials of phones and extensions.

Hello and thank you for reply.

The server log does not indicate that there is an AUTH attempt. I am using X-Lite and I changed the domain ip in X-Lite, nothing worked. In my D-Link DI-524 Wireless router, I have assigned a static IP for the server computer.

Please Help.

I hit this issue today as well.

-Build 2328
-Grandstream GXP 2000 Phone under NAT at remote site
-STUN server OK, trace route to STUN server OK (stun.fwdnet.net)
-IE can manage the Grandstream GXP 2000 Phone
-Reset password both at phone and PBX

At console not found any log for this SIP phone try to register. I had try to power off this phone around 10 times. Then it can register again. I don't know why. All SIP Phones at LAN are no problem found.

Hello.

I am having the same problem after I installed the 3cx in my 2nd computer and restarted that computer. Extensios were working very good but not registering any more after I restarted the server computer.

My, 02nd problem - VoIP incoming calls are not being received. I can make out bound phone calls using any of the extensions, can not receive.

Silentfun mentionned Firewall issues - I really think there is a firewall issue blocking the pbx - Are all the necessary ports that the 3CX PBX needs to function open? Forwarding rules etc???

I've read in this post that after a PC restart there were problems. The first thing I would do it check whether all 6 3cx services are up and running - start/run/services.msc . Of course I would need to see some form of logs to try to identify the problem. Extensions can not register for a lot of different reasons.

Hello.

I reinstalled the 3CX software and for some reason it is working great. The problem I am facing now are:

- No audio either way when I take the X-Lite out side my home network. Extension registers and makes call, but no sound. I set the extension as external line and no luck.

- VoIP line does not receive incoming calls. It keeps ringing and ringing. I have setup auto attendant and no luck.

- I need help with STUN server. I saw two locations to put that in 3CX PBX. My VoIP provider e-mailed me a STUN server, so I guess it goes in VoIP line. What should I use for 3CX General Settings -> STUN Server options? Currently I have stun.3cx.com

Please advice.

Try to Bind to media server

VoIP line does not receive incoming calls. It keeps ringing and ringing. I have setup auto attendant and no luck.

First try solving these issues and then try making a call from the start.

Keep STUN.3CX.COM as a stun server in the General Settings Page.
If the Voip Provider is listed as a template in the ADD VoIP provider page, then edit nothing and leave the VoIP line as it is generated. Those are pre configured settings that are tested to work. If the VoIP provider is not listed as a template then enter the Stun Server in the Voip Line Page as it was given to you.

Make sure that the Ports for stun requests are open - there seems to be a firewall issue blocking your stun server requests. Open port 3478 on the firewall in and out going.

Hello and thank you for your help.

I have tried to open 03 different ports in my D-Link DI-524 Wireless router. Not sure wheather I got it right or not. Here is what I have done: http://people.stu.ca/~nahid/others/3cx/D-Link_DI524_Firewall.pdf . Please note 3cx is installed in 192.168.0.101 computer. I tried to open the ports 7000, 9000 and 3478.

At this moment I am trying to get the Auto Attendant to pick up incoming calls.

- if you take out of your network - insure you have checked "extern"

- no autio is often a problem with codecs. but x-lite usualy don

I got the incoming VoIP calls working. But I am getting 03 errors:

03) Error loading license.
