No changes to the system, no changes to any extensions, no updates to the server and no changes to the network. Logs show extensions connecting.

Tried provisioning, new phone, provision manually still no good.

Should have thought of this earlier Reboot the server. So fecking frustrating hours of time lost.

Hopefully this will save some some time

Was this a Windows or Debian install?

Hi Rick,

Please share your details as per here:
https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/information-to-provide-when-requesting-help.67558/

And also tell us some additional information:
  1. what happens exactly when one calls the other? (as detailed as possible please)
  2. can they call each other from webclient-to-webclient? (create brand new extensions for this test)
  3. do you see any services down from the management console?
  4. were there any recent network/firewall changes you may not be aware of? (even router firmware)

    1. I get an enagaged tone and the word forbidden appeared on the phone
  2. can they call each other from webclient-to-webclient? (create brand new extensions for this test)
    1. Didn't try that. After deleting the phone and the extension and recreating them other phones stopped working. In the end the only phone that worked was extension 000. The 3cx control pages all appeared to be working fine. The logs weren't showing any errors
  3. do you see any services down from the management console?
    1. No
  4. were there any recent network/firewall changes you may not be aware of? (even router firmware)
    1. no
Its now been 16 hours since I restarted the server and its all running fine.

I put this post up so people could see that even if the server looks healthy sometimes a restart is the best or ONLY solution.

I don't need any help with this. This is hopefully going to help other users

The old turn it off and on again. How many times i've looked at issues and spent so many hours with extensive troubleshooting only to find a reboot sorts it!

Thanks for replying back Rick, I'm glad to hear it's all good now after the initial reboot.

If you face any future issues of course please feel free to start a new thread and we will be glad to help, and if you have extra time we would like to see what the cause was before you reboot, since normally a reboot shouldn't be needed (under normal circumstances at least).
