Solved Fanvil i56a not updating to latest firmware

Has anyone had any issues updating the firmware for the Fanvil i56a? I have tried to do it via 3CX with no luck. I have been attempting to updating via the phone's interface with no luck as well. The current firmware version is 0.2.0.45. The available version on 3CX is 0.2.0.103. I have followed fanvil's instructions online and it wont work. I have also attempted to get it pointed to the 3CX server via the "Upgrade Server 1" field in the phones webpage but can't seem to get the address link correct, it keeps coming back with Error. Thanks.

Try factory resetting the device before you install the firmware. Try using Chrome with an Incognito window to login to the device. Make sure your PC is on the same LAN as the i56A.

Version 0.2.0.103 is the initial version Fanvil provided us with. If you device cannot install it, please contact Fanvil or your phone dealer to get direct assistance as there will probably be nothing else you can do.

Glad to hear! Sometimes browser cookies or cache may make it difficult to control a device via web UI, but a factory reset and login via private browser window should quickly resolve it.

Firmware must always be installed from our guides before provisioning the device for the first time.
